Do I Knit?

I can knit, but I prefer to crochet. I have basic skills in both. All the abbr.'s and time, knitting can require, is quite tedious for me. I do like to drag out my yarn stash out from under my bed every year and choose colors for a small project. My mom always passes on her left overs or I like to buy it on sale. It's soooo relaxing to sit and work making warm things when Fall sets in. I've made hats, mittens, booties, scarf-lets and these baby blankets. I've never attempted a sweater. I need a bit more instant gratification than that.

I'm a "use what you got" kind of craft-er, so each of these baby blankets are made with all different yarns. Wools, cottons, acrylics, mohair etc. They are lined with flannel and I've given them to most of my friends and family members who have had babies. They love them and cherish them. I'm still stitching the flannel to the pink blanket above.

I love those "scrap" blankets. The only thing prettier is little Cora!
